Patricia owns and operates StarFire Creations Unlimited®. She is a freelance writer, photographer, website designer, and desktop publisher. She has organized events such as Astronomy's 25th Anniversary Gala in Albuequerque, N.M., The Sky Show in Davis, CA, Colorado Astronomy Day, and more.

While on staff for three years at Astronomy magazine (based in Waukesha, WI), she worked as Photo Editor, Webmaster, Writer, and Editor. While in Wisconsin, she met Herman Bender in 1996 and began her research into the work he was doing there.
Under her guidance as Photo Editor, Astronomy won two Alfred Eisenstaedt Awards from Life magazine.
A Contributing Editor to Astronomy Magazine for four years after returning home to Colorado, she writes hobby, travel, and feature articles and has been published in numerous venues including National Parks, Discovery Online, Astronomy.Com, New Choices, Sky & Telescope, and Astronomy.
Besides acting as secretary for the Hanwakan Center, she is honored to be charged with the design and edit of the center's newsletter, website, and journal.
Her education and interests include journalism, anthropology, archaeoastronomy, philosophy, mysticism, astronomy, and travel. |
